Strite Family Ranch is the heart and vision of Josh Strite—the brawn and the brains behind the operation. Raised in a tight-knit farming family, Josh grew up with dirt on his boots and livestock in his blood. From an early age, he was drawn to the rhythm of ranch life and developed a deep respect for the animals in his care. What started as simple chores in the barnyard quickly became a lifelong calling.

Fueled by his passion for animal husbandry and a desire to deepen his knowledge, Josh pursued collegiate studies in Animal Husbandry and Herd Science, mastering the science behind raising healthy, productive livestock. His education gave him the tools to turn tradition into innovation—balancing time-tested farming values with modern best practices. Over the years, he’s grown the ranch from humble beginnings into a thriving operation known for ethical practices, healthy animals, and unmatched quality.

Josh’s inspiration comes from something bigger than just raising great livestock—it’s about feeding real families. Behind every great ranch is a team of real people doing real work (and probably tripping over chickens along the way). At Strite Family Ranch, we’re a family-run operation through and through—each of us bringing our own special flair to the table. Here’s a peek at the crew that keeps things running (mostly) smoothly:

Josh – Founder, Ranch Boss, Head Herd Wrangler

The brawn and the brains behind the ranch, Josh is the reason we have healthy animals, solid fences, and a business that actually works. He grew up in a farming family, studied animal husbandry and herd science like a total overachiever, and now spends most days doing about 12 jobs at once. If it’s got four legs or needs fixing, Josh is on it.

Tricia – Wife, Mother, Content Queen, Snark Machine

Tricia is the glue that holds everything (and everyone) together. She’s the ranch’s voice online, the chaos coordinator at home, and the queen of sarcasm. Whether she's writing captions, chasing kids, or reminding Josh where he left his coffee, she keeps the ranch running with wit, grit, and just the right amount of eye-roll.

Xander – Son, Apprentice Rancher, Future Boss Man

Xander is hot on Josh’s heels, learning the ropes with big boots to fill. He’s got a heart for animals, a work ethic that rivals his dad’s, and just enough teenage attitude to keep things interesting. Whether he’s feeding, fixing, or fire-starting (the good kind), Xander’s always hands-on and in the mix.

Lizzy – Daughter, Mini CEO, Barnyard Dictator-in-Training

Lizzy may be the youngest, but don’t let that fool you—she’s in charge and she knows it. With her clipboard (imaginary or real), she confidently delegates chores to everyone around her while “supervising” the animals like a true boss. She's equal parts sass, smarts, and future leadership potential.

You choose the cuts you want, and we’ll walk you through the entire process from start to finish.

We still believe in a handshake and a promise. That means no deposit is required to select your animal. We know life happens, and we’ll never penalize you for unexpected changes. That said, when you choose an animal, we remove it from the market—which means we’re trusting you to follow through. Your word matters here.
